Proxima Tech Solutions is looking for a skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting both internal and client IT infrastructures, participating in projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of corporate IT environments, including servers, virtualization, cloud, and backup solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Administer and support Microsoft infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, O365, File Sharing, Group Policy
• Develop and automate processes using PowerShell, including scripting for user management, monitoring, reporting, and system maintenance
• Administer Linux systems, write bash scripts, and participate in configuration and deployment tasks (RHCSA/RHCE certification is a plus)
• Support and maintain both internal IT infrastructure and client environments, including network services, server farms, virtualization clusters, storage systems, and backup solutions
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects, including design, planning, implementation, migration, and optimization of client and internal systems
• Work with virtualization platforms: VMware, Nutanix (certifications are highly desirable)
• Support and configure backup and recovery solutions: Veeam or Commvault; ensure proper backup strategies, testing, and monitoring
• Manage storage systems: SAN/NAS, including provisioning, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Develop scripts and automation using Python for workflow optimization, monitoring, and reporting (advantageous)
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure reliable operation of all environments
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and project reports
• Ensure adherence to best practices in security, availability, scalability, and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to plan and execute IT solutions
• Evaluate new technologies and tools, provide recommendations, and participate in proof-of-concept implementations
• Demonstrate analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
